Not very long ago the condom as known today underwent improvements. The European member states had it lengthened about 1 cm, i.e., so-achieved 17 cm in length. It too the girth was enlarged from 52 to 55 cm.
Changes as such had already reached other continents, so too the Americas. On top of that, there are prototypes in the pipeline as functional and cosy as possible. One of which designed in Germany, consists in a baggy version of it, made of latex fashionwise to the prime model. The difference lies in the diameter being larger than its counterpart, and so-attached by its base, which is well-tighten, so as to ensure it won’t slip out; neither get displaced, placing its sexual protective reason in jeopardy.
Still under development plastic made condoms, which display certain advantages over the regular ones, apart from their slower deterioration rate, unlikely to cause allergies might as well be employed along with oil-based lubes. These condoms bear the same thickness of those made from latex.
In Canada is being devised a liquid preservative under the gel form, which should be applied on both the sexual organs and anal surroundings prior to sexual intercourse. This preservative is compounded by a bacteriostatic on a polymer base. Of which, when in contact with the body, get solidified, creating a protective barrier against sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS inclusive. This one still undergoing tests is believed to be out soon.
In the line of products made of latex is the liquid preservative, devised by the doctor Karl Machlamer. It works out smeared on the pênis that’s already hardened on, from its base to the gland. To do so by waiting until it sets and then sexual intercourse begin. As safe as the regular one, nonetheless, setting takes up to 5’, which might disrupt sexual rapport altogether.
There’s also, the unisex condom. It’s a plastic one, though thinner and more resilient than latex, with wider end than the other, which enables the woman to use it as well. This product available in Colombia at the moment, is on the verge of being exported to other countries
Elsewhere the female condom comes in range of fabrics and patterns for all purposes. Science has been working and researched on different manners to get us protected against sexual diseases and undesired pregnancy. New compounds are bound to come up every now and then, maybe even safer or likely to render both man and woman more pleasure prone, so that sex could be fully enjoyed, and pleasure sprang out free of risk.
Off course technology alone isn’t enough. Bringing into action comes down to each one of us, by growing aware and looking after ourselves, or whichever suits you and the other one better. Awareness remains the biggest weapon against sexually infected diseases, primarily AIDS, which every year decimates thousands of people the world over.
